Riding the Air Chair with Gavin

We spent some time at the lake over the weekend where Gavin deciding he wanted to ride the Air Chair. Knowing he wasn't big enough to try it by himself we decided to let him ride with me. I was pretty nervous about having another person ride with me especially my own son. But, it was a great experience and Gavin had a blast. Here are a few photos.

Photos from the Nashville Lego Competition

Gavin has taken a strong interest in Legos since Christmas. A few weeks ago the Nashville Public Library sponsored a Lego building competition grouping entries by age. At the close of the competition the entries were put on display at the downtown library. We took Gavin to see all the creations and I took photos of a bunch of them using my DROID X. The photos aren't great quality, but you can see them all in a Flickr gallery here.

There were a bunch of really cool Star Wars themed creations and some included Woody and Buzz from Toy Story. The most intricate was a giant spaceship perched on a stand. I think it was from Star Wars too but I can't be sure.

A Snowy Weekend

On Friday it snowed about four inches and we've been enjoying it all weekend. Lindy, Gavin, and I all played in the snow on Saturday for about an hour and today Gavin and I went out again. This time, we made a snowman in the backyard and one in the front yard. Here are some pics!

Gavin Likes Being Tickled

Gavin really likes to be tickled. As with many other things he gets this from his mommy. Tonight, before putting him to bed, he kept asking to be tickled over, and over, and over. It was hilarious!

Gavin's been living a really tough life lately. So tough, he wanted to share how bad it was with all of you. The sleeping picture came about while he was watching Toy Story. He just couldn't keep his eyes open.

Happy Halloween from the Wests

Yes it has been forever since we've posted anything new. In fact, we've only posted 2 blog entries in 2009 while in 2008 we posted much much more. It's pretty easy for me to post tech content over on that blog, but I find it harder to post stuff here. We'll try and do better. Oh, the "CF" pumpkin below stands for ColdFusion which is an Adobe product I use quite heavily.

Much Needed Warmth and Sunshine

Last Sunday was an awesome day! The high was near 60 and there was plenty of sunshine. Gavin and I needed to get outside and run around. I hate the cold winter so we don't play outside much from December to February. I needed the warmth of the sun shining on my back, so out we went. Macy joined us, and even Pooh came out for a short swing!
